We are often asked about porcelain and why we love to use it!

Well it’s no secret that we use luxury items for the scope of luxury gardens. That said we have a time and place for choosing porcelain over sandstone and here’s why.

Contrary to belief porcelain has a robust longevity and doesn’t fall subject to the green phantom algae like you would see in other forms of patio slabs - but that doesn’t mean they are truly invincible.

Just like a car, to have one for a year and complain that it’s dirty without washing it once comes as a shock to most as it’s an expected outcome for the outdoors to take its toll on creating dirt on our possessions so every now and then we have to maintain things. These slabs will still need jetwashes and perhaps on occasion a watered down acid wash just for some of the more temperamental stains but not as much as what sandstone would require!

Unlike sandstone these tiles are not as porous and have anti slip technology built in - despite when wet they both look shiny and images of You’ve Been Framed start to come to mind!
