Stapling a Garden Feature

What ties in a garden? Is it the amount of plants? Does it only work if the layout is correct? And by which standard do we judge planned chaos over neat and pristine?
Well as with many things all design comes down to a few factors: cost, time and quality - the triangle that always has one factor weakness. Taste however really plays a major part because without this our designs never flow and they don’t have any character - with our designs as they are hand drawn it really allows our creative imagination to shine through.

This latest feature is all by chance - but with a bit of vision behind it. We met some amazing people at the BBCs Gardeners World show in Birmingham, where we stumbled across this amazing water feature:

The customer loved the concept so incorporated it into plan with a drawing of how they wanted it. The tricky part is usually making this come alive but for us this has been the most exciting moment; To see the water feature installed and the customers reaction was the pinnacle moment for us!
But the main focus of this post is to show that a certain feature can make for an amazing center point of a space for which everything around it begins to compliment the idea! So for example the path design changed so that people could then walk around it instead of just past it. The border design changed from just limestone to having more plants as an edge!
There’s many options to design and sometimes it only takes one moment or a change to inspire the whole area!
